Psycholinguistics, Sentiment analysis tool

📢 Notice !!
This reseach was presented at the 56th Annual Conference of the Korea Psychological Association, under the guidance of Professor Kim at EmoLab, Psychology.

At EmoLab (Affective Neuroscience Lab), I focused on text-based sentiment analysis for designing information systems that could adeptly understand users' needs by grasping the subtleties of emotional expression. During my research, I noticed a limitation in Korean sentiment analysis tools: their tendency to simply categorize emotions into positive or negative scales. This one-dimensional approach often overlooks the complexity of emotions like sadness and anger, both generally labeled as negative. Addressing this issue, I conducted a meta-study and created a two-dimensional tool, utilizing valence and arousal from affective psychology.
